Hi, I'm Brendan Tobolaski. I've spent more than a decade managing application systems in countless ways, from manual configuration to Kubernetes with many stops along the way. Some of the highlights along that path include: configuration management with Chef, automation with Ansible, infrastructure and deployments with Terraform, and cluster managment with Mesos. I spent close to 8 years managing Signal Vine's infrastructure, everything from the build process to deployment. I was there for Signal Vine's first product launch through their acquisition. I have recently moved on to Syllable AI.
Gnu Herder is focussed on the proper way to manage applications running on Linux as seen by Brendan Tobolaski. The things presented here are a combination of professional experience with a healthy dose of lab work. Nothing presented here is exactly what was implemented by any company that I have worked for.
